In His Memory

Hello everyone!  I thought it would be really fun to talk about any fun memories of Michael during the month.  Please post any pictures and memories that you have.  Together we can be a support for Jay and Charlotte.

I remember when you all came to our house to visit us in Las Vegas.  Mikey, Kimi, Jason and Ryan had so much fun when we went swimming together.  They played ball in the pool for a long time.  Mikey was the first one to go over to the hot tub because he was cold but it wasn't very long before everyone followed.  He always seemed to be a really good leader.  When we were all done he took the boys into the dressing room to get dressed.  When he came out he was making sure that Ryan had all of his things and even made him go back to get something.  Any time I was around him he was an excellent big brother.

I also loved to watch him talk about or watch sports.  He really had an interest in it and it was fun to see such a fan!  Even if it is for BYU!

We love all of you and hope that all of the good memories come flooding back to you.

In his honor I would like to ask any person who holds a current temple recommend to go to the temple some time between now and the end of November. I can't think of a better way to celebrate his life and memorialize his passing. Just as Charlotte is anticipating this day, there are other parents who are waiting to see the day when their child's temple work will be completed for them.

I thought it would be really neat for Jay and Charlotte to know of all of the people who have done this in Mikey's honor. Please place a comment on our family blog or email Charlotte and Jay directly with your words of love. I just imagine them receiving emails from all around and then they may have one more memory of something good that has come of this tragedy. So please let's all pass this information along.

Jay will be doing the endowment for Michael on November 8th at the 7 am session in the Salt Lake City Temple. For anyone who can you need to be seated in the chapel by 6:30 am. I think there will be lots of people there to support them so we will want to make it early so we are sure to get in that session!
Families really can be together forever! We love you Jay and Char!

If you are visiting this blog because you have gone to the temple in memory of Michael, please post a comment. Also, you may be interested in seeing the post below titled "Hardship to the Stars".

What a great thing for everyone! Attending the temple is the most peaceful and important thing we can do for ourselves and others. I hope you will all feel the Saviors loving arms around you. You know that they are aroudn him. Diana Evans
